Call for Posters Reminder

Current Harvard students are invited to submit a proposal for an academic poster to be displayed and discussed at the conference “Preaching the Saints: Sermons, Art, and Music in the Later Middle Ages.” The conference in honor of Professor Beverly Kienzle is sponsored by the Harvard Committee on Medieval Studies and will take place September 21-22, 2012. Renowned scholars from Europe and North America will give papers, including André Vauchez, who will give the keynote address. The conference promises to make a major contribution to the ongoing discussion of preaching in medieval religious culture and the relationship of sermons, hagiography, art, and music. Further details are available on the Medieval Studies website.

Student posters may address topics related to medieval preaching and the theme of the conference.  In your proposal, please include a title for your poster along with an abstract of 500 words or less, addressing your topic’s relevance to the discipline of medieval sermon studies. All poster proposals should be submitted to harvardmedievalconfsept2012@gmail.com by May 1, 2012. There will be space for ten posters only.
